RECOMMENDATIONS
Perhaps the best recommendations come from my clients. The follwing have kindly been sent to me by clients after their cases were concluded. I am grateful for the time they have taken to send in their thoughts.
Following an aquittal after trial in July 11 a client wrote "Thank you so much for your support and your faith in me. I have never felt so delighted, happy and relieved"
In February 11 a client wrote "many thanks for your assistance in court last Monday. I really appreciate you representing me and I am very happy with the outcome. I know its important to be able to speak the legal language as well as looking like I am taking the situation seriously. I think I would have looked foolish on my own. Probably not the most complicated case but it has made a difference to me".
One client simply emailed me in September 10 after learning his case was dropped to say "Many thanks indeed for all you help & advice - glad I took it!"
Going back a bit further in time on 31st December 09 another client wrote "I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your work on this case. It is clearly apparent that you have spent considerable time and attention working with me to gather the right information, collating this and subsequently presenting it in a way that is understandable and acceptable to the court. You have managed to reach what I consider to be a very positive outcome in relation to my charge, in fact it is fair to say that I believe you have managed to reach probably the best possible outcome there could have been. This whole process has been extremely unfamiliar to me and since my initial contact with you I have found you patient and extremely responsive to all my numerous questions and queries. Your calm manner and clear explanations have really helped me understand the process every step of the way, and helped me to remain calm through what has been a distressing and unnerving few months. I genuinely hope I never need legal representation again, however if I do ever have a need I would most definitely come to you first. I would positively recommend your services to anyone requiring legal representation, without any hesitation."
In June 10 I received an email from a client some of which read "I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your help with my court case today. I thought that you fought my case very strongly and bravely against the sheriff and feel that without you the outcome would have been far less positive.
Court was a terrifying prospect, and was quite different from what I thought it was going to be like. I wasn’t expecting the court room to be so small and it to be so busy. In hindsight I can see that in each given day there are so many cases to get through, that it is very important that what is said in the defence of each accused person has to be very clear, concise and relevant. I do not think the sheriff would have taken too kindly to my long winded version of events and excuses and thought that you put my case exceptionally well.
What was also evident today was that you represent a wide variety of people, with very different backgrounds and alleged offences. I really admire you for the job that you do, and the effort that you put in to your cases.
When I received my letter and phoned you up, I was quite apprehensive about talking to you. I had looked at your website and was aware that you were very highly qualified and experienced and thought that you would look at me and think -what an idiot- she has no idea about courts, and is babbling on with lots of irrelevant information. It was your wife I spoke to initially, and she was very easy to talk to and explained that you would be in touch soon. After talking to your wife, and later you I immediately felt much better. I have never had a lawyer before but feel that since making contact with you I could not have asked for a more efficient and excellent service. I was grateful to you for taking time to explain things, and was much better prepared for today because of your information and advice. After receiving my letter from the court I felt I had no control over anything that was happening, and by letting me know the possible outcomes, explaining the system and telling me what you required from me, in a way it felt like you gave me a bit of control back."
I understand that Court can be difficult and stressful for clients. While I cannot guarantee the outcome of a case I would like to be able to guide you through the Court process and to assist you if you need an experienced criminal solicitor in the Highlands.
